This is the first make money review I’m posting on my blog. I have been blogging since 2005, but I’ve only blogged “seriously” since late May this year. I am not blogging for money, but of course making money online is a nice way to earn little extra cash. Will I make full-time income one day online? Maybe. But at the moment I love to blog and I’m learning the ropes of Internet marketing; affiliate marketing, pay per click (ppc) advertising, blog advertising, etc.
As I’m starting these make money reviews right from the start, you will be able to see how I do and hopefully learn something in the progress. Not too many bloggers do this kind of reviews, and I’m not saying everyone should, but for me, this kind of review is on par with my target of writing about things I do, honestly and transparently..
Make Money Blogging
There are several ways to make money from a blog, with the primary choices being:
- Text link or banner advertising (e.g. Google AdSense, Chitika, etc.)
- Direct advertising (sold by yourself or through a service directly to your blog)
- Affiliate marketing
At the moment my blog has:
- Google AdSense and
- Search engine targeted Chitika Premium ads and
- Affiliate links to related products and services.
How Much Did I Earn Last Month
- Blog Advertising: $2.69
- Affiliate Programs: $128.65
- e.g. Micro Niche Finder (Affiliate Product, Clickbank)
- Miscellaneous Earnings (?): $40

Make Money Review June 2009
One hundred and seventy-one dollars, 34 cents. Not a life changing money by no means, but compared to the $1.88 I had made between late 2005 and the end of may 2009, that’s pretty damn good!
I had 2549 visits to this blog last month, with relatively steady traffic each day around 100, topping at 128 unique visitors on June 17th. Most of the traffic to this blog came from search engines, almost all from Google. Other, more minor, sources of traffic this month were StumbleUpon and my blog comments on other blogs. As I write this, this blog has 12 RSS Subscribers. Conclusion: You can make money with very little traffic, not much, but money nevertheless.
Accomplishments June 2009
I haven’t started more strategic marketing of the blog, but my social networking and blog commenting earned this blog PageRank 4 in a month, which I am very proud of. With this, I have a nice stepping stone to the future now. I’ll continue to concentrate on writing posts and articles and at the same time, I’m looking into more efficient ways to monetize the blog and hopefully increase my income next month a bit.
