Here's the thing. I have tons of ideas about posts that I could write for you. But instead of generating more and more ideas, I should be writing. Writing first drafts and then working on finishing the drafts I've started...
And I want my posts to be useful to you. So I need your help. I need you to tell me what you'd like see me write about. I need you to ask the questions you've always wanted to ask.
Here's how this works:
- leave a comment, and
- Suggest a post, ask a question, share an idea
- I will write a post about it
- The posts will cover the topics and questions you suggest
- You will get a link to your blog
That's right! Help me, help you. No worries, you don't have to get naked and air-dry, as all you have to do is leave a comment and tell me...
What Kind of Post I Should Write For You?
Tell me what kind of information you are looking for about things like
- Blogging
- WordPress
- Social Media
- Internet business
- Geeky Computer Guy Lifestyle
- <Insert Your Even Slightly Related Topic Here>
Maybe you've read some advice and instructions on how to do things, but something is missing... Go ahead and share it on the comments!
My biggest strengths are on the technical side of blogging, being the geek I am, so if you're struggling with tech issues on your blog that a good'ol how to post could solve, tell me about that too!
Tell me if you're looking for simple tutorials, or perhaps an in-depth guide on a specific problem. Tell me your biggest constraint, your biggest obstacles. Heck, if you ask me to illustrate something, I'll look into that too (I won't guarantee it'll be pretty).
Don't wait any longer, but jump into the comments! Here's your chance to leave your mark to this blog and get your questions answered. More specific you get, more likely it is that I'll be able to help you and write a post about it.
And as I'm in the spirit of giving, the comments left to this post before end of November entered the...
500 Free Business Card Giveaway!
And if getting the kind of posts to this blog you want, answering THE questions you have in mind wasn't enough, I held a random drawing from all the comments left on this post with questions, suggestions or other ideas on what you'd like me to cover in the upcoming months.
The random drawing was done using http://www.random.org/ and
the lucky winner is: Robert Bravery!
For his win, Robert will receive 500 free business cards!
This giveaway was sponsored by OvernightPrints.com. In addition to the business cards, they also print postcards, posters and more.
The bonus giveaway lasted until the end of November, but the comments on this post will remain open, and I will take all questions and suggestions into consideration when I'm working on new posts.
Let The Comments and Questions Fly!
You'll leave a suggestion, questions or a comment about what kind of posts you want to see. AND if I end up writing a post answering a question or about a topic you suggested, I'll link back to your blog or website.
How's that for a deal?
Help me help you; ask your questions, tell me your post suggestions and other ideas: leave a comment now.
p.s. Make sure you've subscribed to the blog, either via my RSS feed or the email newsletter, or you might miss the post I'll write for you!

I really enjoy posts about blogging. But I think I am looking for something different. Something out of the mundane. Something that other bloggers are not covering or not covering in depth.
New ways of getting traffic
New ways of getting followers and resder.
How to keep them

Much appreciated Robert. Great suggestions there, taking a new angle on things and not just re-packaging the tried and true tactics. I like it.
Congratulations Robert for winning the giweaway! Only seven brave ones (bun intended) left comments within the time-limit, so 1/7 chances hit you this time.
Thanks for everyone else too for leaving great comments – and remember that the comments are still open and when I get around writing about the suggested topics, there’s a juicy backlink waiting for you.
Hey that’s me. Awesome. Fantastic, what can I say. Thanks mate
I’d like to see you to a video or podcast series on anything to do with blogging.
Also, if you have so many drafts, I’d more than welcome a guest post on my blog. :)

I kinda promised you one already many months ago, so I gotta keep that promise, hopefully soon too. But I should also note that I call one line of text with an idea for a post a draft too :)
But speaking of video or podcast, that’s something I’ve been thinking about, so it’s likely you’ll see some here in the future. We’ll see if I can call it a series, but one at the time at least.
I’m happy to help you promote some internet business posts. Then we can share some geeky computer guy lifestyle stories. ;-)

Oh yeah, who wouldn’t want to read about adventures of a geeky computer guy! Way more interesting than Internet business tbh, but I’ll be likely to cover both in the future anyways :)
I’d like to see your experience about social media especially the site that drives most traffic to your blog. For me, it’s StumbleUpon, next is Twitter and Mixx.

Thanks for the great idea. I’ve written some posts related to different social media sites, but not from traffic perspective. So I’ll definitely be taking a look at the different sites from traffic pow.
As a quick note, I’ve gotten little streams from all the sites I’ve used, e.g. Digg, Twitter, StumbleUpon, Reddit, etc. But Twitter has been the clear winner for me.
Great way of engaging your readers. Some ideas:
* You are probably not a native English speaker like me. Have you considered doing a Finnish website? Or setting up 2 sites: Finnish and English, with same content?
* Same for social media. One account (just English) or one account per language?
* Review of online GTD-tool. Getting Things Done. ;)
* How to improve English writing skills for non-native speakers.
* How to find sponsors for giveaways.
* How to manage your blog when you are on holiday.
* …

Wow, thanks Johan for great list of ideas! The English vs Finnish is something I’ve been thinking about a lot. I ended up with English just because the potential traffic/audience is so much bigger. I have kept my Facebook “Finnish only” (and also kept it away from this blog for example, so it’s just for friends and family) and Twitter as “English only”, so there’s material for a post in that for sure :)
I’ve also been cooking post-ideas about what blogging is like for non-native Enslish speakers (EDIT: see, even typing is challenging, lol), what challenges there are etc. I haven’t thought about running 2 sites with the same content, but that’s an interesting concept too.
For managing your blog while you’re on a holiday, you might want to start with this: How To Properly Take Time Off From Blogging, but there’s room to build up that even further, so note taken.
Anyway, I was relieved to read that I am not the only one with more inspiration than concentration.

I would really love to read about more SEO tips but I have read from ShaunJudy that some bloggers won’t really give you the details. There are big secrets out there. Hehehe.

I found your post on using FriendFeed to link social media together absolutely invaluable – so more of the same please.

Hi
I would really like to see posts about maxing the SEO of a Drupal blog. I have heard that you can maximise the SEO potential through changing settings and adding modules, but to be honest its all gobbldygook to me and would love to read something laid out in simple language that I can understand and follow.
What a great post!
Thanks fella
